
BIOGRAPHY
A graduate from the art university, OCAD in Toronto, BRIGITTE RABAZO’s talents lead her quickly into the feature film and television drama world. Her editing credits include various genres of long format drama and comedy.
BRIGITTE had has the pleasure of working during the last three years (2020-2022) with the showrunner, Anthony Q. Farrell on the comedy “Shelved” airing now on CTV (Counterfeit Pictures), the comedy, “Overlord and the Underwoods” (CBC / ITV / BYUTV) and the family drama, "The Parker Andersons / Amelia Parker”(Marblemedia / YUTV).
In 2019, BRIGITTE was one of the editors on the 1st season of the period tv one hour drama, "When Hope Calls" (editor on 2 episodes).
BRIGITTE won the CCE (Canadian Cinema Editors) Award for Best Editing in a Broadcast Half Hour Drama for her work on the hit tv series, "Todd and the Book of Pure Evil - season 2 - ep206".
Her foundation in editing comes from having worked with some of the best in the feature film and tv industry as a 1st Assistant Editor on 24 feature films including international blockbusters and tv series. She had the pleasure of working with the showrunner Bryan Fuller (Hannibal / American Gods) and international directors such as Guillermo del Toro, Edgar Wright, George Romero, Ron Howard, István Szabó (in Hungary), Kathryn Bigalow, Paul Schrader, Carl Reiner and Nick Casavettes to name a few. International editors include Dede Allen, Gerry Greenberg, Walter Murch Sr, Paul Machliss, Richard Halsey, Dan Hanley and Mike Hill, as well as the long established relationships she has made with working with the pool of local talented editors. The success she has enjoyed excelling on mostly VFX intensive productions has allowed her to stay on top of cutting edge technology and creative excellence. This wide range of creative and technical knowledge is the foundation from which she brings to her editing.
Brigitte holds two passports allowing her to work throughout the EU and Canada. She also speaks fluent Spanish. She is a proud member of the professional organization, the DGC (the Director's Guild of Canada) that celebrate and promote editing.
